Hi, I’m Wei Chen. I’m a Machine Learning Researcher with a Ph.D. in Computational Physics, where I used AI to tackle complex problems in various fields. Over the past several years, I’ve built and deployed models ranging from transformers for time-series forecasting to tools for uncovering patterns in large, messy datasets. I care about making machine learning both powerful and understandable, using techniques like interpretability methods to open up the “black box.” Feel free to checkout this for my research projects.
In addition to machine learning research and development, I am also very interested in coding. During my PhD, I have been an active contributor to open-source projects, including an enhanced sampling framework with native CUDA support, and a simulation plugin which has been merged into a widely-used package in my field.
